The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Monday Morning

School bell ringing,
Backpacks swinging,
Bus arriving,
Hands high-fiving.

Teacher greeting,
Finding seating,
Long addressing,
Yawn suppressing.

Students learning,
Pages turning,
Tale inviting,
Pencils writing.

Shoulders hunching,
Numbers crunching,
Answers flowing,
Knowledge growing.

Tummies grumbling,
Output crumbling,
Focus straining,
Patience waning.

Bored child dozing,
Lesson closing,
Perfect timing,
Hope starts climbing,

Lunch Bell chiming SOON!
