Making Daddy a Mermaid

Sand on your shoulders
Sand on your knees
Sand on your armpits
Lie still please!

Sand on your tummy now
Sand on your toes
Sand on your swim shorts
Sand up your nose!

Oysters on your tail fins
Seashells on your nipples
Seaweed round your hair
See how it ripples!

Now you are a mermaid
The fairest in the land
Wait, is that a toe?!
We need more sand!
