Let's Get a Move On
Let’s bounce along on sunshine,
Let’s shuffle through the leaves.
Let’s wallow in a snowfall
Let’s flutter with a breeze.
Let’s jitter in a gusty gale,
Let’s slosh along in puddles.
Let’s barrage through a grassy field,
Let’s soar with magic bubbles.
Let’s tiptoe through a forest,
Let’s clamber with the flowers.
Let’s flitter in the moonlight,
Let’s leap amongst the stars.

Val lives near Farnham with a horse and husband and several grandchildren living nearby, who like to mark her poems out of ten. She used to write for adults, but decided she much preferred writing poetry for children, after her debut poem was published online with The Dirigible Balloon in 2021.
