Let's Celebrate The Stage

A pair of slippers in pink or blue,
perfect for a dancer and her endless motion.
Her choreography with ballet steps and patterns
is always en pointe in her satin shoes.
Spinning around and around,
spinning faster and faster.

The most celebrated moves in ballet,
can they be the Fouettes with pirouettes,
Thirty-two dazzling turns in ballet,
Where a swan can be an ethereal enchantress
and grown-ups can become silver swans.

Then there are feet of flames,
gravity-defying,
heart-rending master movers
performing timeless dance anthems
in the shimmering spotlight.

With a happy outpouring of catchy, bright show tunes
lifting hearts and raising the spirits.
There is something for everyone
and another standing ovation.
In musicals and theatre, we can always find our home for all.
