Jumping Beans
Way down in Mexico
On a rocky desert hub,
You’ll find us hanging out
On a Pavoniana shrub.
We’re invaded by an insect,
A certain kind of moth,
Who wriggles in and lays her eggs
In the seeds inside our pods.
When the larvae start to hatch
The wriggling pods fall down.
Our seeds turn into jumping beans
Bouncing on the ground.
On a rocky desert hub,
You’ll find us hanging out
On a Pavoniana shrub.
We’re invaded by an insect,
A certain kind of moth,
Who wriggles in and lays her eggs
In the seeds inside our pods.
When the larvae start to hatch
The wriggling pods fall down.
Our seeds turn into jumping beans
Bouncing on the ground.
