It’s All Out There
The summer sun,
The winter snow,
The rain-filled clouds that come and go,
The rushing streams,
The mighty rivers
That water to the sea delivers,
The rolling fields,
The towering trees,
The soaring birds and tireless bees,
The herds,
The packs,
The setts,
The flocks,
The questing shrew and hunting fox,
The stag that finds its peace alone,
The mysteries of the wild unknown.
The world to which nothing compares,
Mine, yours, ours, and theirs.
The winter snow,
The rain-filled clouds that come and go,
The rushing streams,
The mighty rivers
That water to the sea delivers,
The rolling fields,
The towering trees,
The soaring birds and tireless bees,
The herds,
The packs,
The setts,
The flocks,
The questing shrew and hunting fox,
The stag that finds its peace alone,
The mysteries of the wild unknown.
The world to which nothing compares,
Mine, yours, ours, and theirs.

About the Writer
Jonathan Sellars
Jonathan lives in Greenwich, England. He is severely obsessed with writing poems, primarily ones that rhyme. His work has featured in The Caterpillar and Parakeet magazine and his first picture book, Polly Plum: Brave Adventurer, comes out in Spring 2022. He has two small children, neither of whom can read or write poetry. He's not worried about that. Yet.
