Isosceles, Oval and Rhombus

Listen to Lesley read her poem ...
Isosceles is a triangle cat
Not too thin and not too fat
His ears are pointy but his bottom is flat
Isosceles the triangle cat.

Oval is a rounded bee
As busy and as furry as a bee can be
Lounging in the middle of a purple daisy
Oval the rounded bee.

Rhombus is an angular dog
Pat him on the head he’ll give his tail a little wag
Take his poo home in a plastic bag
Rhombus the angular dog.

About the Writer

Lesley James

Lesley writes for young people and less young people. Many of her stories and poems for children are set in Lesley’s Garden, where a cast of birds, beasts and minibeasts live. She loves playing with words - rhythms, rhymes, tongue-twisters - and telling real tales. Nothing is more funny, thrilling or entertaining than the real life you can see from your own window.
