In a Blink
Spring is coming ‘round the corner.
It’s closer than we think.
One day, it’s pitch-black outside,
And the next day, in a blink—
The sun’s out early!
The grass is green!
The treetops bend and sway
In gentle breezes, bringing warmth
After weeks of dark and gray.
They’re here to stay, these clear bright days,
With flowers gold and pink.
But fall and winter come again,
And faster than we think.
It’s closer than we think.
One day, it’s pitch-black outside,
And the next day, in a blink—
The sun’s out early!
The grass is green!
The treetops bend and sway
In gentle breezes, bringing warmth
After weeks of dark and gray.
They’re here to stay, these clear bright days,
With flowers gold and pink.
But fall and winter come again,
And faster than we think.
