I’m a Champion

Grand empty stadiums
await dreams, champions
silent stairs I scale and panoramic scan from the top
endless lonely rows of seats
awaiting an experience like gladiatorial combat
crowds stomping, clamoring, swaying, praying
resonating resounding vibrations through my feet
uproaring, cheering, singing team songs,
screaming team chants
players adorned in jersey armor
and regalia prepared for battle…
Stadiums may very well be where legends
and dreams are born,
I suit up in my team’s jersey, my armor
announcers announcing my every touch and tackle and assist
“He makes a surgical tackle, takes possession, dribbles past one now two now three opponents’ space has opened up it’s just him and the goalie…”
“time for dinner” Mom shouts into the backyard.
I’m important, I'm the creator of the dream for me…
It started when I first believed
along with every champion there’s already a
a champion in ME!
