Here to Stay is a New Bird

to the tune of “Winter Wonderland”
Crow song caws, are you harkening?
Crowds of wings, sky is darkening.
An ominous sight,
we’re flapping tonight,
flocking in a corvid wonderland!

Gone away is the pet bird,
here to stay is the best bird.
To caw a crow ditty
while we swarm the city,
flocking in a corvid wonderland!

In the plaza we can build a crow-man,
a scarecrow made of cloth and bits of straw.
He’ll say, Are you scared yet?
We’ll say, CAW CAW!
We crows obey no governance or law!

Later on, we’ll cawnspire
as we call the crow choir
to flood the whole town
with cacophonous sound,
flocking in a corvid wonderland,
cawing in a corvid wonderland,
cawing in a caw-caw-CAW!
