Happy New Year!
“Happy New Year!”, my Grandad said,
As he placed a party hat on his head.
“Happy New Year!”, my Grandma sang,
As, at midnight, the church bells rang.
“Happy New Year!”, squealed my sister,
As a streamer narrowly missed her.
“Happy New Year!”, laughed my brother,
As he joyously hugged our mother.
“Happy New Year!”, exclaimed Mum and Dad,
Our time together makes us glad.
“Happy New Year!”, from me to you,
May you have fun the whole year through!
