Hanging Out With A Sloth
I’m a sluggish, slow, tree dweller,
In the wild I’m a sight to see.
But I’m pretty good at camouflage,
Which can sometimes be useful for me.
My arms are L-O-N-G and STRONG
for hanging out in trees
where I munch, munch, munch,
through my lazy lunch
of tough and fibrous leaves
For up to twenty hours a day
you are sure to find me resting.
I spend a lot of time asleep,
very sl-o-w-ly, d-i-g-e-s-t-i-n-g.
I climb down from the treetops
once a week, to poop and pee.
That’s quite a lot of build up
For a little guy like me.
I like a swim because, it seems,
my diet causes bloating,
and with lots of gas in my tummy
I’m rather good at floating.
I know my life is super slow
And really rather boring.
Thanks for hanging out with me,
but now I see your yawning
In the wild I’m a sight to see.
But I’m pretty good at camouflage,
Which can sometimes be useful for me.
My arms are L-O-N-G and STRONG
for hanging out in trees
where I munch, munch, munch,
through my lazy lunch
of tough and fibrous leaves
For up to twenty hours a day
you are sure to find me resting.
I spend a lot of time asleep,
very sl-o-w-ly, d-i-g-e-s-t-i-n-g.
I climb down from the treetops
once a week, to poop and pee.
That’s quite a lot of build up
For a little guy like me.
I like a swim because, it seems,
my diet causes bloating,
and with lots of gas in my tummy
I’m rather good at floating.
I know my life is super slow
And really rather boring.
Thanks for hanging out with me,
but now I see your yawning
