Hair-do Choices
I asked my Mum to make a plait
she twisted and twisted
and just that
a snake-like tail hung down my back.
I asked my Mum to give me curls
she rolled and rolled and
in a twirl
my head was crowned of lots of curls.
I asked my Mum for ‘pony tails’
some baubles and bands
and lots of smiles
which now I shake and flick and flail.
I asked my Mum to cut my hair
she snipped and snipped
then suddenly stopped ...
‘cos I’ve much less hair, anywhere.
she twisted and twisted
and just that
a snake-like tail hung down my back.
I asked my Mum to give me curls
she rolled and rolled and
in a twirl
my head was crowned of lots of curls.
I asked my Mum for ‘pony tails’
some baubles and bands
and lots of smiles
which now I shake and flick and flail.
I asked my Mum to cut my hair
she snipped and snipped
then suddenly stopped ...
‘cos I’ve much less hair, anywhere.
