The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Grumpy Snowman

Listen to Julie's poem ...
I don’t want to be a snowman
it’s far too cold out there,
I can’t roll that far
not at any time of the year.

I don’t want to be a snowman
it’s boring standing still,
and I can’t feel my feet
this snow is way too chilled!

Can you find somebody else?
I’m feeling far too tired,
this carrot is really heavy
and my coal eyes are on fire.

Is anybody listening?
I’ll tell you one more time
I DON’T WANT TO BE A SNOWMAN
and I don’t want this poem to RHYME!

Can you please just roll me indoors,
sit me quietly by the fire,
where I can melt away in peace once more
whilst sipping a glass of….water?
