Goodnight Everyone!
When mum comes upstairs
to kiss me goodnight,
I make her kiss Donkey, and Panda, and Major too.
And Bluebum, and Sharky and ‘don’t forget Chimpy!’
And even Rasmus the Rat.
She laughs
as she does it,
and wishes us all,
Sweet dreams my lovelies!
But it’s only me who answers, of course.
No-one else says a thing.
Until
they
hear
the
last
step
creak.
to kiss me goodnight,
I make her kiss Donkey, and Panda, and Major too.
And Bluebum, and Sharky and ‘don’t forget Chimpy!’
And even Rasmus the Rat.
She laughs
as she does it,
and wishes us all,
Sweet dreams my lovelies!
But it’s only me who answers, of course.
No-one else says a thing.
Until
they
hear
the
last
step
creak.
