Good Loser
I am good at losing things.
It’s easy for me to do.
I toss a sock,
set down a book,
or carelessly drop a shoe.
I don’t mean to do it,
but it happens every day.
I ignore the hamper,
avoid the shelves,
and forget to put things away.
When my bedroom gets too cluttered,
with stuff scattered across the floor,
I shove everything
beneath the bed
and quickly close the door.
There is one little problem.
I truly must confess.
When I need to find
a thing that is lost,
all I find is an under-bed mess!
It’s easy for me to do.
I toss a sock,
set down a book,
or carelessly drop a shoe.
I don’t mean to do it,
but it happens every day.
I ignore the hamper,
avoid the shelves,
and forget to put things away.
When my bedroom gets too cluttered,
with stuff scattered across the floor,
I shove everything
beneath the bed
and quickly close the door.
There is one little problem.
I truly must confess.
When I need to find
a thing that is lost,
all I find is an under-bed mess!
