Frostprints
A glistening, tiny snail trail
Is
spiky
sparkling
snaking
Across our deck
Dusted in frost
We discover
Upon waking
We wander out barefoot
Making footprints in the ice
It may be cold but we don’t care
We think that it looks nice
When the world is shining, shimmering
In the early morning light
A feast for tired eyes
This wondrous wintry sight
Is
spiky
sparkling
snaking
Across our deck
Dusted in frost
We discover
Upon waking
We wander out barefoot
Making footprints in the ice
It may be cold but we don’t care
We think that it looks nice
When the world is shining, shimmering
In the early morning light
A feast for tired eyes
This wondrous wintry sight
