Frankie and Me
Frankie’s smile is made of summer,
Mine is made from thunder,
Frankie’s clothes fit on like smooth silk,
Mine are thistles that make me itch.
All the teachers say they like us the same,
But I see them take a deep sigh when I am near.
They all like Frankie the most…
But at night, my Nonna kisses my forehead three times -
And tells me wonkiest apples taste the best!
Mine is made from thunder,
Frankie’s clothes fit on like smooth silk,
Mine are thistles that make me itch.
All the teachers say they like us the same,
But I see them take a deep sigh when I am near.
They all like Frankie the most…
But at night, my Nonna kisses my forehead three times -
And tells me wonkiest apples taste the best!
