Fishing For Stars
Stand on the edge of a midnight sea,
under a pearl drop moon.
Look up at the cosmic canopy
to see where the stars are strewn.
Cast a net with all your might.
Stand your ground and hold on tight.
When the net begins to drag
and the night sky starts to sag,
haul back your catch from the rim.
Be careful stars don’t breach the brim.
Then open your net with gentle care.
You’ll find the universe twinkling there.
under a pearl drop moon.
