First Flight
The baby bird
pauses
before leaping from the nest,
afraid to leave his
familiar, cozy home
behind.
But he steps off the branch,
trading comfort
for the chance
to fly freely
across the sky.
pauses
before leaping from the nest,
afraid to leave his
familiar, cozy home
behind.
But he steps off the branch,
trading comfort
for the chance
to fly freely
across the sky.
