Everyone Deserves To Be Seen
Danny was the weird kid
He always sat alone
He’d sit there on the playground
In a world of his own
Danny was the weird kid
His hair stood up in tufts
His clothes were old and tatty
And his shoes were worn and scuffed
Danny was the weird kid
He’d laugh and run and shout
He didn't care who saw him
Just let it all come out
Danny was the weird kid
At least that’s what they said
Nobody had ever wondered
What magic lived inside his head
Danny was the weird kid
No one ever asked him to play
But Jennie had been watching him
And it all changed one day
Danny was the weird kid
At least that's what they said
But Jennie saw adventures
Playing out inside his head
Jennie was a thoughtful kid
Saw what others couldn’t see
Went up to Danny and said
“Wanna hang out with me?”
Danny was the weird kid
But someone had finally seen
All the fun inside his head
And joined his amazing team
Danny and Jennie were happy kids
As they ran wild and free
All it took was one brave girl
To notice what had always been
He always sat alone
He’d sit there on the playground
In a world of his own
Danny was the weird kid
His hair stood up in tufts
His clothes were old and tatty
And his shoes were worn and scuffed
Danny was the weird kid
He’d laugh and run and shout
He didn't care who saw him
Just let it all come out
Danny was the weird kid
At least that’s what they said
Nobody had ever wondered
What magic lived inside his head
Danny was the weird kid
No one ever asked him to play
But Jennie had been watching him
And it all changed one day
Danny was the weird kid
At least that's what they said
But Jennie saw adventures
Playing out inside his head
Jennie was a thoughtful kid
Saw what others couldn’t see
Went up to Danny and said
“Wanna hang out with me?”
Danny was the weird kid
But someone had finally seen
All the fun inside his head
And joined his amazing team
Danny and Jennie were happy kids
As they ran wild and free
All it took was one brave girl
To notice what had always been
