Dreaming of the Ocean
Entranced, he listens to salty tales,
his little boy's dangling knees.
Tell me another one Grandpa,
of adventure on the high seas.
The one with the sharks a circling,
the sailboat slurping in water,
the tale of the cruel pirate,
and his young bravehearted daughter.
Tell me again of the kraken,
all the sailors swallowed up whole,
of being shipwrecked in a tempest,
Davey Jones searching out your soul.
Tell me of climbing the rigging,
with bright stars for miles and miles,
rocked sound asleep in a hammock,
with a sea salt kind of a smile.
his little boy's dangling knees.
Tell me another one Grandpa,
of adventure on the high seas.
The one with the sharks a circling,
the sailboat slurping in water,
the tale of the cruel pirate,
and his young bravehearted daughter.
Tell me again of the kraken,
all the sailors swallowed up whole,
of being shipwrecked in a tempest,
Davey Jones searching out your soul.
Tell me of climbing the rigging,
with bright stars for miles and miles,
rocked sound asleep in a hammock,
with a sea salt kind of a smile.
