Don’t worry. I’m a doctor.
You say you’ve got spots
that are itching you lots.
Did they start on your nose
or climb up from your toes?
Are they pink, red or black,
on your front or your back?
Have they spread everywhere,
in your creases and hair?
Don’t worry. I’m a doctor.
Are you coughing green snot?
Are you freezing, then hot?
with a throat sore and red,
and an ache in the head?
I expect it’s a cold
or the ‘flu that’s got hold.
Stay at home, watch TV,
drink some ginger root tea.
Don’t worry. I’m a doctor.
When your eyes get all yucky
with stuff that is mucky,
please wipe it away
with these drops twice a day.
And if you break bones
when you fall onto stones,
I’ll mend them for you
with my super strong glue.
Don’t worry. I’m a doctor.
In my house there are potions
and soothing pink lotions,
cream for sore kneeses
and pills to stop sneezes,
and specially thick syrups
for juddering hiccoughs,
scissors and tweezers
plus puffers for wheezers.
Don’t worry. I’m a doctor.
So bring me your worries,
your gut-churning flurries
of wind or diarrhoea.
You know I am here
to help you get well
with advice and a spell
I shall print in green ink
so that all of you think…
We won’t worry. She really is a doctor.
that are itching you lots.
Did they start on your nose
or climb up from your toes?
Are they pink, red or black,
