Doing My Bit (Environment)
I’m much too young to know what’s meant
when people say ‘environment’
they look so cross and some look sad
and some just say ‘it’s all gone bad,’
but back at home I know what’s right
impatient for the start of night
I leave a dish for my hedgehog’s tea
that’s what ‘environment’ means to me.
when people say ‘environment’
they look so cross and some look sad
and some just say ‘it’s all gone bad,’
but back at home I know what’s right
impatient for the start of night
I leave a dish for my hedgehog’s tea
that’s what ‘environment’ means to me.

About the Writer
Fran Bridger
Fran has been writing poetry for many years. She lives in the countryside surrounded by moors, wild animals and struggling farmers. Within her poetry she tries to capture something of the "thinness of nature, the overpowering beauty of it, as well as raise awareness to the damage that is done every day by an uncaring society". Fran sees poetry as an important campaigner for Nature.
