Disco Dancer

You'll have heard of Rudolph and Prancer
And all the reindeer who help Santa
But did you know how Dancer
Was given his special name?

On his feet he's very nimble
All year long and not just at Crimbo
The sound of drums and cymbals
Get his hefty hooves tapping.

He's won prizes for tap and samba
You should see him dance the lambada
He's no bambi – he thrives on drama
On the disco deer dancefloor.

You’ll not yet have seen him on ‘Strictly’
But he’s sure to get on there quickly
Right now he’s too jiggly and wiggly
To claim that sparkly glitter ball.

You should see him waltz, bop and jive
Every muscle and bone is alive
He should definitely win a top prize
For his speedy quicksteps.

The other deer watch him roll and rock
As they pull carts and work round the clock
He’s followed on YouTube and Tiktok
#Disco Dancing Deer.

He's made up a new festive routine
He’s been teaching the rest of the team
They'll perfect it by Christmas eve
When they’ll dance round the world.

When Santa’s sleigh is parked on your roof
(As long as your house isn’t sound-proofed)
You’ll hear the ‘Holly Berry hoof’
When those reindeer rock into town.
