Dandelion Seeds
A cluster of dandelions – makes a radiant show
On the carpet of green where they grow
These petite suns – made from threads of fiery gold
Are a sight for the eyes, a sight to behold!
Their wispy seeds, so small and light
Tiny parachutes, in the air take flight
The lone voyagers travel on their rides
Discovering places far and wide
Through the wind, they navigate their way
The seeds put on an airborne balletic display
They twirl and spin round and round
When the wind drops, they fall to the ground
Anywhere nurturing that seeds can take root
To give birth in the soil to a new green shoot
Cracks in the pavement, an outcrop of rocks
A woodland, a rose garden, a window box
The cycle renews with the sun and rain
And the dandelion grows ready to send out its seeds again
On the carpet of green where they grow
These petite suns – made from threads of fiery gold
Are a sight for the eyes, a sight to behold!
Their wispy seeds, so small and light
Tiny parachutes, in the air take flight
The lone voyagers travel on their rides
Discovering places far and wide
Through the wind, they navigate their way
The seeds put on an airborne balletic display
They twirl and spin round and round
When the wind drops, they fall to the ground
Anywhere nurturing that seeds can take root
To give birth in the soil to a new green shoot
Cracks in the pavement, an outcrop of rocks
A woodland, a rose garden, a window box
The cycle renews with the sun and rain
And the dandelion grows ready to send out its seeds again
