Dandelion O’Clock
Yesterday you were a dazzling sun
Golden rays exploding like a firework
Bumble bees buzzed to your blazing
Flaming fiery feathery flower.
Today you were the full moon,
A shimmering silvery soft sphere
Ready to launch hundreds of tiny
Fragile fluffy fairies far faraway.
What time is it now?
It’s dandelion o’clock!
Carefully I pick you and breathe in
One puff, two puffs, three puffs, four.
Soft silky sprite-stars soar up in the sky
A downy dizzy dust dance disperses
Petite parachutes propelling, plopping into new places
Soon there will be hundreds more clocks.
Golden rays exploding like a firework
Bumble bees buzzed to your blazing
Flaming fiery feathery flower.
Today you were the full moon,
A shimmering silvery soft sphere
Ready to launch hundreds of tiny
Fragile fluffy fairies far faraway.
What time is it now?
It’s dandelion o’clock!
Carefully I pick you and breathe in
One puff, two puffs, three puffs, four.
Soft silky sprite-stars soar up in the sky
A downy dizzy dust dance disperses
Petite parachutes propelling, plopping into new places
Soon there will be hundreds more clocks.
