Curious
Snug in snorkel coats,
scarves and bobble hats,
studying bits of crab,
empty razor shells,
a brittle star and stuff
unidentifiable,
leftovers on the beach,
we're the last to leave,
both hooked like fish
by bits, by what remains.
Do ghosts wear overcoats?
I ask dad.
scarves and bobble hats,
studying bits of crab,
empty razor shells,
a brittle star and stuff
unidentifiable,
leftovers on the beach,
we're the last to leave,
both hooked like fish
by bits, by what remains.
Do ghosts wear overcoats?
I ask dad.
