Clinking Spoons
There are so many things you can do with a spoon
you can clink two together to make a sweet tune.
Bang on the table, or twirl up your hair,
make mini moons that shine bright in the air.
Paddles for boats and small shovels for sand,
hard hats for trolls or a wand for your hand.
Little tea mirrors for viewing your face,
alien creatures that fly off to space.
I like to hang spoons on the end of my nose,
sometimes I use one to clean between toes.
Silvery, shiny, so sturdy and round,
bring all the spoons out to the playground.
Spoons to pop bubbles and stir goblin slime,
spoons to make mud cakes then splash at bathtime.
Use one to feed sickly Dolly her stew,
we need our spoons to slurp chicken soup too!
you can clink two together to make a sweet tune.
