Christmas Sounds

Listen to Carole's poem ... read by Jessica
Bell tinkle,
tree twinkle
parcel thud in hall
wrapping rustle
shopping bustle
whispery snow flake fall

carol singers
bell ringers
fires that crack and spark
pud stirrers
mixer whirrers
stockings in the dark

late shoppers
cork poppers
paper ripping joy
wish bone snappers
joke unwrappers
giddy girls and boys

heel dragging
kids lagging
Mum, it’s Christmas Day!
then mince-pie munch
and fruit cake crunch
and hours and hours to play.
