Christmas Prep
Christmas isn't far away
with frost and icy snows.
Please be certain, children,
that Father Christmas knows
where to bring your presents –
down the chimney? In the porch?
Do you even own a chimney?
Will he need a torch?
Or when the clock strikes midnight,
will your teddy creep
down the stairs all by himself
when everyone's asleep,
to open up the big front door,
let Santa in the hall
and whisper both together
Happy Christmas to you ALL!?
with frost and icy snows.
Please be certain, children,
that Father Christmas knows
where to bring your presents –
down the chimney? In the porch?
Do you even own a chimney?
Will he need a torch?
Or when the clock strikes midnight,
will your teddy creep
down the stairs all by himself
when everyone's asleep,
to open up the big front door,
let Santa in the hall
and whisper both together
Happy Christmas to you ALL!?
