The stockings weren’t hung with great care.
They were hung with a nonchalant air.
They were so badly made,
they were ripped, torn and frayed,
forcing Santa to place gifts elsewhere.

Due to a strange quirk of fate
Bill posted his cards far too late.
So he wrote, “Do not fear,
these can be for next year.
Please display at a much later date.”
