Cheesy Moon

Is the Moon really made out of cheese?
Would it be squishy if you gave it a squeeze?
A piece of Swiss could explain all the holes.
Or maybe they’re caused by burrowing moles.

Perhaps it’s a Limburger or one of the Blues.
I’d pick a Camembert if I had to choose.
I wonder if it could be a hearty Havarti?
Or a gooey dip, like you serve at a party.

A great wheel of Cheddar would be quite nice.
A dream come true for a family of mice.
Though Feta or Brie makes the most sense.
To explain why a full moon, always looks dense.
