Bunk Beds are Bonkers

Bunk beds are bonkers - there’s no bed that’s madder!
I wonder who thought up a bed with a ladder.
With steps that you have to ascend, half asleep,
they’re straight up and down - they are steeper than steep!

And when you wake up and you have to descend,
be careful you don’t meet a slip-bumping end.
Just one misplaced foot - you could land on your head!
I tell you they’re quite the most dangerous bed.

But, having said that, there is one thing for sure,
it’s the bed that is highest that no one wants more.
It’s worth every dangerous risk and surprise,
cos the bed underneath is a poor second prize.
