The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Body of Poetry

Here's a poem to rock your day:
Roll your shoulders, swing and sway.

Snap your fingers to the beat.
Stomp the rhythm with your feet.

Write it out so eyes can see
or echo-read along with me!

Let your voices fill this space.
Act out feelings with your face.

Let the chorus rise as one.
A poem shared is twice the fun!

(And any poem your body owns,
echoes on inside your bones.)
