Body Idioms
I had something to say
on the tip of my tongue,
or was it off the top of my head?
If somebody tries to pick my brain,
I’ll stick my neck out instead.
Please don’t give me
the cold shoulder,
when I offer to lend you a hand.
Why don’t you get it off your chest?
I’m all ears - I’ll understand.
Try to keep your chin up,
Try to swallow your pride.
I know you might need
some elbow room,
Just, don’t take me for a ride.
on the tip of my tongue,
or was it off the top of my head?
If somebody tries to pick my brain,
I’ll stick my neck out instead.
Please don’t give me
the cold shoulder,
when I offer to lend you a hand.
Why don’t you get it off your chest?
I’m all ears - I’ll understand.
Try to keep your chin up,
Try to swallow your pride.
I know you might need
some elbow room,
Just, don’t take me for a ride.
