Bicycle for Two

Want to ride a bicycle built for two?
Want to ride a bicycle, just me and you?

I’ll sit up front, so you don’t have to steer
or even once need to switch a gear

and all I ask is that we share the load
of pedalling while we’re on the road.

You pedal half the time and not more
and I’ll pedal half. And to be sure,

we’ll split the parts right in two.
This is what we’re going to do.

You take the parts that go uphill.
I’ll take the flat ones. Yes, I will.

Want to ride a bicycle built for two?
Want to ride a bicycle, just me and you?
