Best Friends
I like to sit and read a book.
I like it when you’re there.
Then, all the things we’re reading,
we get to show and share.
I like to play, and ride my bike.
I don’t mind what the weather.
I’m happy that you’re there
so, we can share the fun together.
I like it that you’re by my side
when something makes me sad.
I like that we are best friends now
to share the good and bad.
I know I have to face the world,
the things I have to do.
But it’s really so much better
when, I face it, all, with you.
I like it when you’re there.
