Backpack Toys
We travelled on an airplane,
It was full with children’s noise,
You carried your own backpack
Filled with most essential toys.
One stripy stuffy Zebra,
Not a real one from the zoo.
Two Sylvanian rabbits,
One in pink, one in blue.
Three favourite puzzles,
Packed neatly in a tin,
Ready for your busy mind
To lose itself within.
Four wax crayons:
Red, blue, green and yellow.
Five squishy flumps,
Made of pure marshmallow.
Six sparkly marbles,
Ready to be rolled.
Seven origami birds,
Ready to unfold.
Eight sheets of stickers,
With a notepad fresh and new;
So please be kind and share,
Give the little ones a few?
Nine squares on a puzzle cube,
A colour for each side;
When finally you match them
You shout aloud with pride.
And finally, the best ‘til last,
The thing we can’t forget;
Ten, yes TEN, travel snacks,
Is it time to take off yet?
It was full with children’s noise,
You carried your own backpack
Filled with most essential toys.
One stripy stuffy Zebra,
Not a real one from the zoo.
Two Sylvanian rabbits,
One in pink, one in blue.
Three favourite puzzles,
Packed neatly in a tin,
Ready for your busy mind
To lose itself within.
Four wax crayons:
Red, blue, green and yellow.
Five squishy flumps,
Made of pure marshmallow.
Six sparkly marbles,
Ready to be rolled.
Seven origami birds,
Ready to unfold.
Eight sheets of stickers,
With a notepad fresh and new;
So please be kind and share,
Give the little ones a few?
Nine squares on a puzzle cube,
A colour for each side;
When finally you match them
You shout aloud with pride.
And finally, the best ‘til last,
The thing we can’t forget;
Ten, yes TEN, travel snacks,
Is it time to take off yet?
