Autumn’s Splendour

September
renders
Summer gone –
the sun, so strong,
becomes more tender.

How she
bends the
boughs with fruit!
And fills dull bushes full of loot:
her berried treasure.

Soon she’ll
send her
winds to blow the
leaves aglow like
fireside embers …
