Autumn’s Helper
Bring burgundy red and I’ll warm your trees,
yellow, orange, I’ll make a blanket.
Bring some brown and I’ll add to the crunch,
take your feet for a thrilling walk.
Wear your colour so you don’t get wet,
maybe protect over your head.
Wear bright shades on daring feet,
jump to play in soggy fun.
Bring some brown and pile them up,
watch orange rise and hear the crackle.
Stick on silver and toast marshmallows,
blow, try, blow, try, BITE!
Bring these colours
to please Autumn’s eyes,
fireworks will soar −
your WHIZZ, BANG, SURPRISE!
yellow, orange, I’ll make a blanket.
Bring some brown and I’ll add to the crunch,
take your feet for a thrilling walk.
Wear your colour so you don’t get wet,
maybe protect over your head.
Wear bright shades on daring feet,
jump to play in soggy fun.
Bring some brown and pile them up,
watch orange rise and hear the crackle.
Stick on silver and toast marshmallows,
blow, try, blow, try, BITE!
Bring these colours
to please Autumn’s eyes,
fireworks will soar −
your WHIZZ, BANG, SURPRISE!
