The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Autumn

Autumn’s eyes of chestnut brown
flicker through the trees.
Her ruffled, russet, crinkled curls
dance gently on the breeze.
She softly steps on velvet moss,
welcoming and deep.
Wrapped in a cloak of gold and bronze
she settles down to sleep.
