Anything Goes!

The cow goes oink, the pig goes moo,
the cats go bark, bizarre.
The dogs go meow, in Nonsense Zoo,
where sloths can travel far.
The elephants have tiny trunks,
giraffes have lost their necks.
That lovely smell is from the skunk,
all birds no longer peck.
Baboons no longer flash their bums,
a hippo doesn't yawn.
The hummingbird no longer hums,
all hamsters wake at dawn.
The kangaroo can't skip, or jump,
a peacock doesn’t strut.
The camel hasn’t got a hump.
It's normal here, but…
flamingos never raise a knee,
gorillas swim in pools.
The alligator’s up the tree,
Who’s broken all these rules?
A tiger chirps, a serpent roars,
frogs can't find their ribbit.
It's Nonsense Zoo, on many floors,
they say, ”The sky's the limit!”
