Listen to Julie's poem ... read by JH
Follow me please. Down by these trees
a family of golden Gs
and almost hidden out of view
a Crimson-Crested W.
Now, can you hear the hungry cries
of baby Lesser-Spotted Is
as mother hurries with their tea –
a feast of wriggling Vs and Es?

Pause if you will over this hill.
A wide-eyed O sits very still
as a herd of gentle As graze
beside a troop of Ring-Tailed Js.
Observe the solitary N
skulking round a young D’s den,
now startled by a scaly K
who’s rarely seen out in the day.

Now, just for you some river views.
This pack of tired, marching Qs
and stumbling Us have travelled far
with huffing H and snarling R.
The soothing waters welcome them
to wallow with the giant M
while graceful Ls with slender necks
cool off beside a speckled X.

Finally, a cacophony
as trilling Ts and humming Bs,
sweet chirping Ps and clicking Cs
serenade the evening breeze.
Watch sleepy S and weary Z
lay down to rest their tired heads,
as flock of Fs and cloud of Ys
float off across the sunset skies.
