Advice for Meeting a Yeti
If you ever see a Yeti
Stare hard, because I bet he
Will quickly try to hide behind a tree,
And when he’s still and hiding,
Don’t expect him to come striding
Out to shake your hand or come to tea.
For a Yeti likes his space
And will never show his face,
So turn around and simply let him be.
He is big and he is hairy
But that doesn’t make him scary,
Above all, a Yeti just wants to be free.
His abominable face
Will disappear, without a trace,
If you just tiptoe along, real quietly.
Stare hard, because I bet he
Will quickly try to hide behind a tree,
And when he’s still and hiding,
Don’t expect him to come striding
Out to shake your hand or come to tea.
For a Yeti likes his space
And will never show his face,
So turn around and simply let him be.
He is big and he is hairy
But that doesn’t make him scary,
Above all, a Yeti just wants to be free.
His abominable face
Will disappear, without a trace,
If you just tiptoe along, real quietly.
