Abuzz about Spring
As Springtime showers nourish Earth
a thirsty bud prepares
peeking colors swell and burst
a petals opening fanfare
Lavender, lilac, rosemary
And sweet peas and hyacinth
Gardenias, honeysuckle, roses
a celebration of scents
A daffodil, a daisy, daphnes, and marigold
Some foxgloves, bluebells, and poppies
brushed-on blossoms millionfold
nature paints and dots like lollies
While bees are buzzing, hovering
An invitation is sent
a celebration, waggle dance
a slurping nectar event
Bees are hopping flowers blossoms
they’re twirling loop de loos
they’re zagging, circling, wiggling, and busy
pollinating for me and you!
a thirsty bud prepares
peeking colors swell and burst
a petals opening fanfare
Lavender, lilac, rosemary
And sweet peas and hyacinth
Gardenias, honeysuckle, roses
a celebration of scents
A daffodil, a daisy, daphnes, and marigold
Some foxgloves, bluebells, and poppies
brushed-on blossoms millionfold
nature paints and dots like lollies
While bees are buzzing, hovering
An invitation is sent
a celebration, waggle dance
a slurping nectar event
Bees are hopping flowers blossoms
they’re twirling loop de loos
they’re zagging, circling, wiggling, and busy
pollinating for me and you!
