A Skyfall of Verbs
I hear the sound of a whirl of birds
As they weave and dive
And shimmer and swirl.
I see the lift of a gust of leaves
As they fly with the wind
And twist and twirl.
I smell the sky in an autumn fire
As it smokes and wraps
Where the swept leaves lie.
I feel the air around my head,
The breath of the wind
And its drawn-out sigh.
As they weave and dive
And shimmer and swirl.
I see the lift of a gust of leaves
As they fly with the wind
And twist and twirl.
I smell the sky in an autumn fire
As it smokes and wraps
Where the swept leaves lie.
I feel the air around my head,
The breath of the wind
And its drawn-out sigh.
