A New Kind of Movers
Me and Pete, we’re memory movers
And happy moment haulers.
We have the best idea scrapers
And two dream recallers.
So if your family will be moving soon,
And you worry you won’t find
The jolly times from your old place
Because they’re left behind;
And if you’ve got the kind of dreams
That stick on walls or old post beams,
And memories of nights so snug
That snag, like gum, inside the rug,
Or thoughts of mom you’ve held dearer
That spread like film across the mirror,
And images of mornings idle
That sink into the bedroom drywall—
Call me and Pete, we’re just the crew!
We’ve got the master key
To collect your mental souvenirs
For just the one-time fee.
And for just a tad bit more,
We made a special garbage bag,
Which you can use to safely trash
The times that were a drag.
And happy moment haulers.
We have the best idea scrapers
And two dream recallers.
So if your family will be moving soon,
And you worry you won’t find
The jolly times from your old place
Because they’re left behind;
And if you’ve got the kind of dreams
That stick on walls or old post beams,
And memories of nights so snug
That snag, like gum, inside the rug,
Or thoughts of mom you’ve held dearer
That spread like film across the mirror,
And images of mornings idle
That sink into the bedroom drywall—
Call me and Pete, we’re just the crew!
We’ve got the master key
To collect your mental souvenirs
For just the one-time fee.
And for just a tad bit more,
We made a special garbage bag,
Which you can use to safely trash
The times that were a drag.
