A Flight Is A Flight
I’m happy every time I ascend the stair,
that no turbulence is rumbling there.
A climb to the second floor is one flight,
to my final destination every night.
The attic staircase is flight number two.
Though not much up there for me to do.
I’m sure most people would prefer to fly.
But they should give my stairs a try.
I know my flights don’t go very high.
It’s not like I’m zooming through open sky.
But a flight is a flight notwithstanding
and at the end of each, there’s a happy landing.
